SEXUAL POLITICS AND DEMOCRATIC POLITICS
What can the sexual politics of racial fetishization, trans exclusion, and sexual fluidity tell us about democracy? In this lecture, Dr.
Wolflink will discuss “Drowning in Desire, ” the book she is writing on the role of desire in contemporary democracy and its relationship to choice, control, and power. She will use examples from the politics of race, gender, and sexuality to tackle the problem of how to transform desires for exploitative hierarchy into desires for democratic equality
